To provide an equitable support structure for the Lincoln High School community through fundraising, volunteering and partnership initiatives.

To provide resources to make Lincoln one of the nation’s premier high schools, creating a lifelong love of learning, supporting physical and intellectual growth, while strengthening our broader community connections.

What we do

Friends of Lincoln strives to ensure every student has equitable access to the full Cardinal experience. We help fund teacher positions and support students, from meeting basic human needs to providing technology and covering fees for those who would otherwise not be able to participate. We also build community connections and caring through a broad range of volunteer efforts.

What we fund

Funds raised by FoL support:

  • Supplemental staffing
  • Club and PIL sport teams
  • Classroom requests from teachers
  • Non-athletic club needs
  • Community outreach

How to help

Volunteers are part of what makes Lincoln High School an amazing place to be. Want to join a Friends of Lincoln committee or use your talents to help Lincoln students achieve success?

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is there no longer a Lincoln Foundation, Lincoln Boosters or PTSO? Will they still have a voice in Lincoln?

FoL combines the roles, priorities and support activities previously delivered by the Lincoln sports boosters, PTSO and Foundation into one unified system for the broader LHS community.

Cardinal friends and families, THANK YOU!

We want to share the impact your support has made.

Most recently, faced with losing two teachers to budget cuts, Friends of Lincoln provided funding to keep ALL of them without an additional Spring appeal.

Other important places where your support has made a difference:

  • LHS social workers provided ongoing support to 50 families - 1 in 10 Lincoln families need help, and we’ve seen the number rise over pandemic.

“Friends of Lincoln also helped us collect, sort, and fill orders for coats and blankets this past winter. We are very grateful that when we see students in need, we know that we can turn to Friends of Lincoln for support. We look forward to our continued partnership.” Judy Herzberg, Lincoln HS Social Worker

  • 30 Flock Feast boxes delivered to LHS families and 15K meals in partnership with Clay Street Table.
  • 35K+ sack lunches to unhoused people across the metro area.
  • Hundreds of Lincoln Clean Up Crew volunteers came to the school to maintain the grounds this past year.
  • We hosted a pop-up Teacher Appreciation lunch provide by alumni-family-owned Phil’s Meat Market.
  • Card athletes were supported across many sports to ensure maximum participation in a COVID-friendly way.
  • Senior graduation celebration support.

In the year ahead, Friends of Lincoln invites you to get involved in our community in the way you can (sign up here). Whether you have the time for a committed leadership role or want to raise your hand for one-and-done volunteer opportunities - every bit of help makes a difference and connects our community with meaning. We know because we’ve witnessed the effect of every effort throughout this school year.

Again, thank you for your support.
